Anyone see that movie 21?? Love that line, it's fun to say at parties. Anyway, about a month or so ago I entered a lucky draw(contest), where you enter by putting your name and phone number on the back of a receipt, at this awesome Italian-style restaurant, Cappuncinos! Recommend it if you haven't tried it yet. The prize as a BIG voucher for Le Creuset. Haven't heard of it?? I remembered hearing about it yeeeeears ago growing up, but only came upon a store in Johannesburg a few years ago. Remembering the name, I popped into the cookware shop to see what I could maybe pick up...nothing is the answer, those goods are way too steep for my foreign missionary hands. I also couldn't decide what to tell Jesus on that day when he asked my need for a R3000($350ish) casserole dish over helping the widow/orphan. This is not meant to hurt your feelings if you did purchase such a dish, my conscience was just bound here.
ANYWAY,back to my story, so a few weeks ago I received a call that I had indeed won this lucky draw contest. I was dumbfounded. Casey was there when I got the call and she can tell you, I was lost for words, said thank you and hung up the phone. We went to pick up the voucher and went browsing in the store. HOLY COW!!! I was in love. I mean I can see why anyone would spend so much money on this stuff, it looks amazing and the cast iron bad boys have a lifetime warranty. I was overcome by thankfulness to My Father. I do believe God loves to give good gifts to His children and count this as one such gift. Something we could clearly never afford and would not feel good about purchasing on our own, was being graciously provided for by our Sweet, Good and Gracious God. Finally we made a purchase, only spending part of the voucher initially as I am married to a very wise man who suggested buying what we need first, then what we would greatly enjoy second. The lady asked if it was a gift for someone and would I like it gift-wrapped, to which I said it was a gift for me and please wrap it up as this was going under the tree as part of my Christmas gift. God works all things together for the good! (heehee)

So here is my little Le Creuset collection. The most expensive cookware I will ever own and which I will hopefully be able to pass down to my children one day. Grateful.
